The name “Sukidayo” means “I like you” in Japanese. The company provides services designed to help couples strengthen their relationships through smartphone apps and other digital tools.
Bringing Couples Closer Through Daily Questions
Founded in 2019, the company describes this fundraising as its seed round. However, comments from investors in this round—such as “we’ve been watching the company as shareholders” and “we’ve wanted to invest next time”—suggest that Sukidayo may have raised funds in some form prior to this round.
Sukidayo currently offers two products: Riamo and Futari Kaigi.
Riamo is a smartphone app in which an animal character asks couples (users) a daily question. Based on users’ answers, the app uses AI to analyze each partner’s personality traits and values. The app also includes a feature that allows couples to write down things they would like to do together. The current release is positioned as a beta version.

Meanwhile, Futari Kaigi is a service that uses LINE, a messaging app widely used in Japan. Like Riamo, it aims to bring couples closer by asking them questions. However, the questions in Futari Kaigi also cover practical topics such as household budgeting and childbirth—topics that explore how couples think about everyday life. On its service website, Futari Kaigi describes itself as a “question app for couples and married partners,” indicating that it is designed with shared life as a married couple in mind.
CEO Atsuta: “Accelerating Global Expansion”
The seed round included venture capital firms mint, i-nest capital, ANRI, and UNERI Capital, as well as KAYAC, a company engaged in internet content production and related businesses.
The funds will be used to:
- accelerate user acquisition in Japan and internationally
- strengthen product development and AI features
- reinforce the company’s organizational structure
